A Mom's Guide: Palm Coast Playgrounds

Updated: Mar 22, 2022

Looking for the best local spots to take your little ones for playtime?

I'm going to give you the scoop on a handful of our popular local playgrounds, the amenities that they have to offer, and the best times to play!

Belle Terre Park

BTP is situated behind two public schools and is often used for recreational sports/events. It has a small playground area, many large athletic fields, tennis courts, and an aquatic facility. Though the playground area is not huge, it is a great spot to bring the kids if you're wanting to run around and get some energy out! This park gets busier during the evenings due to sporting events and practices, and after school hours.

The Community Center Park

The Community Center has a beautifully shaded park that is perfect to use during the hot summer months! It has a play area for the younger kids and a large jungle gym for the older kids, plus swings for all ages. The great thing about this park is that it is entirely fenced in! It is never too busy at the Community Center Park. Regardless of the time of day, there is plenty of space to run around. Mornings are heavier on the baby-toddler age range. Evenings are heavier on the school-aged range. P.S. Don't forget to check out the Community Center website for a list of all future classes and events.

James F. Holland Memorial Park

The "Rolls-Royce" of parks in Flagler County! So amazing, that one picture certainly cannot do this park justice! Huge renovations were recently completed on this park and The City of Palm Coast deserves an award for this one. The playground area is ENORMOUS and entirely fenced in. It has fun options for children of every age (yes, even your little babies). A zip-line, multiple slides, every type of climbing contraption you can imagine, swings, hills, jungle gyms, you name it....this park has it! The ground is mostly artificial turf and rubber, so it is extremely clean and soft. And don't hesitate to bring the grandparents along to this park with you because there are multiple shaded bench-swings that are perfect for family members to observe. It is a MUST-SEE in Palm Coast! And future additions include a splash pad for the children to cool off during a hot summer day! Best time of day to go to Holland Memorial Park?...that is a tough question! It is such a fantastic spot that it is nearly always packed with people. So good luck finding a slow time!

Ralph Carter Park

This is a quaint park located next to Rymfire Elementary School. It has a small fenced in playground that is hardly ever crowded. It also has a skate park right next to the playground! This is a nice option for the parent who has an age gap between children. One can skate while the other one plays! For families that are living in the R-section of town, it is close and convenient. Makes for a quick trip with easy parking. Mornings and early afternoon are usually slow.

Seminole Woods Park

This is another neighborhood park that is extremely convenient for families living in the S and U sections of town! It has a small, fenced-in playground area that is next to a tennis court. It also has a large athletic field that is extremely well-kempt! It has two baby swings, three child swings, and a special needs swing. This is the perfect spot if you're living on the south side of town and looking for something quick and easy to access. It is hardly ever busy!

Waterfront Park

Looking for something different? This is the spot for you! This park is located off of Colbert Lane and has a beautiful view of the intracoastal waterway! It has a walking path that runs along the water, so if you're interested in playing and strolling...this is the perfect spot for you! It has a very tiny, fenced-in playground area, along with a dock for fishing. This park would be a great options for moms (or dads) that want to meet up, get some exercise, & also let their little ones play. You've got miles of paths available to walk on with an awesome view and you will definitely see a fair amount of people walking on any given day.
